Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Sisters of the Cross strive to share in the priestly feelings of the Heart of Jesus and console Him for the interior sorrows caused by the sins of men [and women], especially those committed by those who are consecrated to Him. (Constitution 3).
United to the Incarnate Word as victims of atonement, they consecrate themselves by professing the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty and obedience, so that the People of God, especially priests, moved by the Holy Spirit, may live according to the sanctity to which they have been called until they reach a consuming unity with the Trinity and thus fully glorify the Father. (Constitution 4).
