"Christ through the Holy Spirit offered Himself blameless to God"

(Heb 9,14)

God has called the Sisters of the Cross to follow Christ Priest and Victim more intimately; hence, the spirit that should inspire them is essentially a priestly one. Guided by the Holy Spirit  they endeavor to resemble Christ and, united to Him like Mary, be a permanent offering to the heavenly Father on behalf of the Church. (Constitutions 8).

In the Eucharistic Mystery Jesus Christ continues his everlasting sacrifice as Victim, His immolation and His priestly atonement, as a living example of total  and voluntary sacrifice  for the salvation of mankind. He is present there through love, and remains with us to bring us to the Father. (Constitutions 9).

The distinctive spirit of the Sisters of the Cross requires that they live close to Jesus to deepen in their knowledge of Him, to progress in love and in the specific virtues of the Institute. To fulfill their vocation, their lives will be centered on the Eucharist and they will practice the "Chain of Love" so that their lives may be a continual Mass. (Constitutions 10).
